The most frequent question I get asked as a pole instructor

“I am going to make it?”

Oh man, why nobody believes in themselves nowadays?

Let me tell you why!

Because we learn from young age to define our self worth through accomplishments.

My answer is usually something like : “if you are into it, you will be fine ! “

Ask your self when you are down the self-doubt hole :

“make it for who?” “ who sets the bar? “

Sure,  when you start a new activity a sense of accomplishment keeps you motivated ..but it wouldn’t be nice, if for once you stopped measuring results and started enjoying the journey/ taking the small wins?

See it as a chance to explore , discover new experiences, your own limitations ( both physical and mental) , to appreciate the privilege of being a student, to do something out of your comfort zone!

TO HAVE FUN!

Stop opting for perfection and demonizing failure , if you can of course call failure the fact that you challenged yourself in a way, you are having fun and finally you are doing something right for you and your soul .

The kick as body comes as a bonus 😉

So the right question is “Am I enjoying it?” Or

“Do I feel complete

by doing it?”

If yes , you found yourself a new passion ❣️
